Nursery
We welcome you and your child to our church. Our nursery is for infants and toddlers up to 2 years old. We join with you in a vitally important task: the nurturing of your child's development and foundational love for the Lord. As a team of dedicated volunteers, our goal is to provide your child with the physical care and spiritual training that will follow him or her thru life. Our prayer is for each child to grow up in a Christian home, and for each of us to exhibit understanding and cooperaion as we work together for the good of your child.
What to Bring:
Please include the following items in your child's diaper bag:
• two or three disposable diapers (no cloth diapers, please)
• a complete change of clothes
• bottle of milk, formula, juice or water (this is a good practice even for mothers who nurse)
Please label all personal items (including pacifiers and sippee cups) with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class. This helps us keep track of your child's items.
When You Arrive at Your Child's Room
After you have completed the check-in process and received a Parent Pager a Nursery leader will meet you at the door to receive your child, diaper bag and any other necessary items. Please note on the sign-in sheet any information that will help in caring for your child, such as feeding times, sleeping times, allergies and special needs.
After this, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for your Life Group or Worship service.
As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when a parent leaves. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will page you.
What We Provide
Snacks
Snacks are provided for our new walkers and toddlers. The food items consist of water and wafer cookies. If your child has an allergy, please inform the leader when you check in your child.
Curriculum
We believe that even our littlest ones can learn! Regular learning experiences are planned and lessons are reinforced with songs, Bible thougts and supervised activites designed with the age of the child in mind. The Beginners Bible is used in all departments.
Pick-Up Procedures
Please make sure that all of your child's personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost and found itmes will be retained for a short time only. Items not claimed are donated to our Compassionate Care Program after one month.
