 Preschool

Children who attend Sunday School (9:30) will explore and learn directly from the Bible.
Our worship time (10:30) is geared with music and exciting life lessons that offer practical applications for leading a rewarding Christian life.
The information taught is the foundation for a better understanding of the Bible in later years.

What to Expect:

A Warm and Secure Welcome
After the check-in process and your child is assigned an age appropriate classroom, you and your preschooler will be introduced to your friendly classroom volunteer.  They will enter into a positive experience of learning and fun planned just for them.
As you know, it is common for children to cry when leaving them alone in different surroundings.  Please wave a quick goodbye, reassure them of your return and walk away.  Our team of volunteers will immediately begin to make your preschooler feel welcomed and secure.  They will learn to trust you and the volunteers when we say you will return and learn a valuable lesson in life.  (If your child cries for an extended period of time you will be paged.)

Teaching Art Project
The Kidz will create an art project to help reinforce the focus and theme of the lesson.  Encourage your child to show you his or her craft and discuss the Bible verse and story.

Snack
A snack is provided for your preschooler during the mornings activites.  The snack traditionally consists of store bought cookies and water.  Please inform your child's teacher of any allergies during the sign-in process.  Allergy Alert stickers are also available for your preschooler to wear.

Gathering for Group Time
Each classroom will have fun with songs, finger plays, or games to help the preschoolers prepare for story time.  Prayer is always a part of our group time.

Story Time
Your child's teacher will tell the Bible story in a clear and meaningful way that is easy to understand.  They will learn basic biblical truths they can apply to their preschool world.  A Bible verse is always used to empahsize the theme and focus of the lesson.  Pictures are often used by the teacher to tell the story.

Heading Home
When picking up your child please remain behind, the roped area.  Your child's teacher will bring your child to you and ask your for your Parent Pager and match it with your child's identfying nametag before releasing the preschooler into your care.

Take-Home Page
Each child will receive an age-appropriate activity page that includes the week's Bible story, Bible verse and a related activity.  You can read the story and the Bible verse with your child to help them understand the lesson and the verse.  Save the page and use it during the week for interaction and reinforcement of the Bible story.
